EN ISO 3834 Welding Quality Requirements

Many manufacturing facilities use welding processes. The welding method, consumable wire, environmental conditions and other factors all determine product quality, directly affecting your company's quality and success.

The TS EN ISO 3834 welding quality requirements help assess the conformity of a manufacturer's welded fabrication. TS EN ISO 3834 comprises a group of 5 standards defining the quality requirements for operating, monitoring and managing the manufacturing process. Certified manufacturers can use EN ISO 3834 certification to demonstrate their welding quality to customers.

The standards making up the TS EN ISO 3834 welding quality framework are:

EN ISO 3834-1: Criteria for the selection of the appropriate level of quality requirements;

EN ISO 3834-2: Comprehensive quality requirements;

EN ISO 3834-3: Standard quality requirements;

EN ISO 3834-4: Elementary quality requirements;

EN ISO 3834-5: Documents necessary to confirm conformity with the quality requirements.

Documents required for an application for TS EN ISO 3834 certification:

Certificate of business activity;

Authorised signature circular;

Tax registration certificate;

Trade Registry Gazette publication.

The supporting requirements for TS EN ISO 3834 certification include preparing:

WC (Welder Certificate);

PQR (Procedure Qualification Record);

WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).

TS EN ISO 3834 certification is issued for a maximum validity period of 3 years. During that period, a surveillance audit is carried out at least once a year to verify continued conformity with the standard.
