Industrial Services
FQC Standard provides technical inspection services addressing quality, conformity and reliability in welded fabrication, metal structure production and installation, surveillance, supplier assessment and independent audits.
Services are carried out in accordance with contracts, specifications, relevant standards, technical requirements and customer expectations, making processes traceable, impartial and open to assessment.
Technical Inspection
Technical checks and assessments of manufacturing, installation, welding and product conformity.
Independent Surveillance
Impartial assessment against quantity, quality, packaging, loading, transport and timing criteria.
Audit Process
Second- and third-party audits assess suppliers, services, processes and production activities.
Scope of Industrial Services
Welding Procedure Qualification: PQR and WPS
Welding is used at many stages of manufacturing. Because weld quality directly affects product quality, it requires careful attention. Every welding process should be managed rigorously, regardless of its risk classification.
Our company provides inspection of the PQR and WPS procedures defining welded fabrication processes as an independent Type A inspection body accredited by TÜRKAK.
National and international references for welding procedures
- Pressure Equipment Directive
- CE marking
- ISO 3834
- TS EN 15614 series
- ASME Section IX
- AWS D1.1, AWS D1.4, AWS D1.5, AWS D1.6
- API 1104
- TS EN ISO 15613
- TS EN 14555
- AD 2000 Merkblätter HP2/1
If a welded fabrication process changes — for example, the welding method, electrode or wire type, or material group — a new welding procedure must be prepared and submitted for qualification.
A suitable welding method, applied under a procedure prepared for the correct welding conditions, provides an important basis for consistent quality.
Metal Structure and Manufacturing-Process Inspection
Appropriate manufacturing and installation methods help achieve the required quality in steel construction. Manufacturing-process inspection covers the period from dispatch by the material supplier through installation and handover to the contractor.
Pre-Installation Inspection
Steel quality is checked against the relevant standard and technical specification, together with the manufacturer's required certificates and documentation. Destructive and non-destructive test reports are reviewed, as are the certificates and records for each steel product.
Checks of dimensions against the design, welding, surface preparation before priming, priming, painting and any required testing are carried out at the supplier's premises before delivery to the contractor's site.
Pre-installation inspection helps ensure that products meet the required quality and specifications and prevents nonconforming products from being dispatched. This reduces the risk of installation accidents, errors, financial losses and wasted labour.
Certificate Checks
Checks cover the qualifications of all welders working in the factory and on site, approval of the welding method, and certificates for connections such as nuts, washers, anchors and bolts.
Installation Stage
Before materials enter the site, deliveries are compared with the purchase order. Dimensions, quantities, weights and any special requirements are checked. Measuring instruments are used to verify straightness, angles and other characteristics.
The condition in which materials are supplied, including whether they have been primed or painted, is checked. Where painted products are required, coating inspections are completed before site-entry approval.
Detailed checks cover dimensions, angles, hole positions and related features. Connections are inspected at several stages, including welding, torque tightening, connection plates, tolerances, painting and testing.
Our experienced specialist team provides second- and third-party surveillance services. We hold TÜRKAK accreditation as a Type A inspection body for manufacturing-process inspections under TS EN 15085-5, TS EN 15085-2 and TS EN 1090-2.
Surveillance Services
Surveillance is independent inspection of supplied products against the delivery conditions established in contracts and specifications, including quantity, quality, packaging, loading, transport and timing.
Benefits of Surveillance
- Reducing disputes through impartial confirmation that products meet the specified characteristics and quantities;
- Providing documentary evidence for both parties if a dispute arises after delivery, helping legal proceedings run more smoothly;
- Identifying potential disputes in advance to avoid wasted time and cost;
- Supporting the supply of goods and services to export markets worldwide;
- Giving buyers confidence before delivery that products meet their requested criteria and making payment and trade arrangements easier.
Second-Party Audits
Second-party audits are assessments of suppliers carried out on behalf of the certification body's customer. They have become an essential means of keeping procurement within the required parameters.
Technology makes it possible to source finished goods, semi-finished products and raw materials from anywhere in the world. Assessing suppliers through second-party surveillance helps secure the right products on the right terms.
The auditing organisation provides its customer with a supplier assessment report, generally covering quality, production methods, products and other relevant matters.
Our customers determine the assessment criteria for second-party audits performed on their behalf. We also support them with advice and recommendations when developing those criteria.
A successful product depends on successful execution at every stage. Failure in the supply process can undermine the entire outcome.
Assessments at the supplier's premises protect both supplier and customer. They help suppliers avoid rejection of their goods or services and help customers avoid receiving supplies that fail to meet their criteria.
Third-Party Audits
Third-party audits are assessments of an organisation's activities performed by an independent auditing body.
Why Arrange Third-Party Audits?
- To measure the effectiveness and success of the organisation's system;
- To strengthen corrective and preventive action and maintain its effectiveness;
- To prevent errors caused by familiarity and organisational blind spots;
- To assess processes and identify areas for improvement;
- To identify ineffective processes and bottlenecks, saving time and labour.
