FQC Standard

Pipelines are systems used to transport fluids. They are named according to the fluid they carry, such as compressed-air pipework, service-water pipework, fire mains and ammonia pipework.

Pipework inspection is based on hydrostatic testing. Where testing with water is unsuitable for the material conveyed, non-destructive examination methods may be used. Because industrial facilities aim to maintain continuous production, arranging pipeline tests can be extremely difficult. Periodic inspections can be made possible by scheduling them during planned shutdowns. Quality begins with confidence.
